No Health Insurance? Get Help Now.
I recently attended an Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ) seminar in Cleveland. As the current chair of the workers comp section, I was responsible to put together this seminar. I have encountered many clients who still go without health insurance. When I learned about an organization that helps Ohioans to get enrolled, I contacted Trey Daly, the Ohio State Director for Get Covered America.
GetCoveredAmerica.org provided a very interesting speaker. Under the Affordable Care Act, the next open enrollment period is from 11/15/2014 through 2/15/15. Although this organization does not specifically enroll Ohioans, it helps to provide the tolls for Ohioans to do this on their own.
Unfortunately Ohioans are among the worst in the country to utilize insurance under the Affordable Care Act. On the other hand, Ohioans are among the best in the country to utilize Medicare expansion. Many people do not realize that under the Affordable Care Act, they are eligible for financial help and tax credits depending up on their household income. In just two days after learning about this organization, I have directed two clients to them and they are well on their way to attaining insurance.
