The history of Garson & Associates begins with Stuart Garson. Mr. Garson started practicing law on April 30, 1976, when he became an associate in a northern Ohio law firm. His practice areas included personal injury, worker's compensation, criminal defense and domestic relations. Mr. Garson would eventually specialize in personal injury litigation and worker's compensation.
Two years later, Mr. Garson became a principal in the firm and started to manage it as well. In 1984, he bought out a retiring partner and the firm name was changed to Garson & Associates Co., L.P.A.
Today, Garson & Associates has expanded its legal practice to include: personal
injury, workers' compensation, medical negligence, wrongful death, product
liability, social security disability, and business litigation on a contingency
fee basis.
The law firm's original offices were located in the Engineer's Building on the corner of Ontario and St. Clair in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, diagonally across from the Justice Center. That area is now the Marriott Hotel. In February 1989, the firm's offices were relocated to the top of the historic Rockefeller Building, where the firm now occupies the entire 16th floor.
Garson & Associates Co., L.P.A., has become a leader in Ohio's legal community, representing and advocating on behalf of injured consumers, workers and their families for more than
three decades. The firm is at the forefront of a number of professional and civic organizations in which Garson lawyers have assumed leadership positions. Mr. Garson, himself, has been inducted into The Workers' Compensation Hall of Fame of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Garson's personal view and mandate is that the firm's attorneys must provide
high quality legal services to injured individuals and business litigation
clients and be involved in and contribute to their communities. Working for Garson & Associates Co., L.P.A., is a full-time job and a full-time commitment to excellence and service.
