You don't have to wonder where the action is when you are around Stuart Garson - he is the action. Whether he is fighting big business, insurance companies or corrupt politicians, Stuart is in the thick of it - often leading the charge.
"Sometimes I feel as though I am fighting windmills," Stuart admits. "But I'm in the justice business and I care about people being treated fairly under the law. We expect citizens to have a legal system that allows their voices to be heard, not one filled with so many obstacles, mazes and labyrinths that no one can navigate it. That's why I am so disappointed with elected officials who don't work to correct this imbalance. They want the glory without producing the goods."
As partner in Seaman Garson LLC Stuart brings this passion into every aspect of his work. He also brings integrity and honesty. "'Honesty is the best policy' is the wisest advice anyone can give, because it works," says Stuart. "You don't have to backtrack to cover up lies, it's a lot easier to remember the truth."
Although Stuart, a talented musician and comedian, is known to regret 'the road not taken," he is very comfortable practicing law. "Whether it is a wrongful death case, nursing home negligence, fighting for the rights of injured workers, or seeing a fair personal injury settlement, I'm always in there making sure that justice is served," he says. "There is a right side and a wrong side. A lot of characters do the wrong thing simply because they can."
When Stuart takes a break from the action he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He is constantly listening to music and feels privileged to have "grown up with the greatest soundtrack of any generation," he says. "Sinatra, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles, The Stones, The Beachboys and The Temptations were born to entertain me."
A bookworm, Stuart also likes reading books about history and politics, especially biographies of political giants. "I'm interested in seeing how powerful people get through their day," he explains. "When I was in law school my giants were Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe. I'm drawn to history because it puts everything in context. I see the world around me as one long, unending narrative."
